Emma Mitchell

Emma Mitchell is a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist with a bachelor of Food Science & Nutrition, based in Mount Eliza, Victoria. 

 Whilst completing my University degree in Food Science & Nutrition, I spent a lot of time trying to decide the right career path to take. I had a very keen interest in health and nutrition, I knew I wanted to help people and to make a difference. As I looked into the various career paths, it became quite clear that you can provide anyone all the information they need to improve their diet & health, however you cannot make them change.

'You can lead a horse to water, however you cannot make the horse drink'

 After one of our university lectures advised us that there wasnt a lot of work available in the nutrition industry (whether true or not), and after placement at a Food Manufacture, my career as a Food Technologist commenced. I loved my job, I learnt so much about food, I worked at some great companies, however there was still that part of me that wanted to help, wanted to make a difference.

I quite often thought about what I wanted in the future, how I could make a change. I envisioned having my own business, seeing clients, helping clients, I just wasnt sure how.

Many years before I decided to study hypnotherapy, I remember having a conversation with a very successful Hypnotherpist. After discussing hypnotherapy I dismissed hypnothërapy stating 'I just dont believe in it'. He replied ' you don't have to, it just works'. After a session for motivation, I was blown away! I hadnt even thought I was hypnotised, and yet I started personal training, felt motivated in so many other areas of my life and 10 years later, I continue with these habits.

One night, I woke up, and it had came to me! HYPNOTHERAPY! I could combine my desire to help others, my nutrition knowledge and hypnotherapy to change peoples mindset on a subconscious level to create lasting change! 

I completed my hypnotherapy studies at The Academy of Hypnotic Science, government accreditated training and am continuing to be amazed at the benefits of Hypnotherapy and love being able to improve the lives of my clients. 

I now work with clients to assist with anxiety, stress, automatic habits, quitting smoking and weight loss. I LOVE seeing the instant changes my clients achieve.
